Filter Systems For Stenter Machine
Ram machines are extensively used in the textile sector. During the thermal treatment of the fabric, Ram machines release flue gas into the atmosphere between 120°C and 200°C. Releasing flue gas with recoverable energy into the atmosphere is a waste of money and energy. Along with the flue gas, textile fibers, oil vapor, volatile organic compounds (VOCs-TOCs), and odors are emitted into the atmosphere. These pollutants contaminate the air, water, and soil, causing adverse environmental effects. The aim of designing and implementing the RAMÖZLÜ system is to recover the waste energy from the flue gas with maximum efficiency while filtering the flue gas to protect the environment.
The RAMÖZLÜ system consists of four main units. The basic units are; pre-filter, air/air heat recovery, air/water heat recovery, and electrostatic filter. As an alternative to the electrostatic filter, there is also the option of a flue gas washing system. In addition, auxiliary systems such as an automatical washing system, automatical fire intervention system, and oil separator unit are included.
The RAMÖZLÜ system offers solutions in different models for stenter machines with flue flow ranges of 15,000 m3/h and 48,000 m3/h. There are RAMÖZLÜ models with one stenter connected and two stenter machines connected.
The RAMÖZLÜ system is essentially a waste heat recovery and environmental project. Amortization is not calculated in environmental projects. However, with RAMÖZLÜ systems, waste heat is recovered in the most efficient way possible, minimizing energy loss and aiming for the investment to amortize itself. The amortization period of the system is on average 2-3 years.
After-sales periodic maintenance and service are provided. In addition, RAMÖZLÜ systems are monitored with a 7/24 remote monitoring system, data is recorded, and interventions are made when necessary. Thanks to the remote monitoring system, service is provided much more effectively.
The flue gas of stenter machine contains dense textile fluff. The first unit of the system is the pre-filter unit. The purpose of the pre-filter is to filter the textile fluff before it reaches the air/air heat recovery and air/water heat recovery units.
There are three different model options available, namely single-stage, double-stage, and coupled with air/air heat recovery unit. Model selection is made according to process density and operational needs.
The pre-filter has a high particle retention capacity and is equipped with pollution detection and automatic cleaning system. It automatically detects pollution and activates the cleaning system without the need for any operator intervention. The frequency of cleaning varies depending on the working hours and process density.
Some of waste heat of the stenter machine is transferred to clean cold air at air/air heat recovery unit. Plate heat exchangers, developed based on engineering calculations and analysis programs, are produced as air/air exchange cells according to the dimensions.
In the air/air heat recovery unit, hot clean air is produced between 90°C and 110°C by using the exhaust gas that its temperature between 120°C and 200°C. By returning the clean hot air to the appropriate locations of the stenter machine, fuel (natural gas) consumption is reduced.
It has pollution detection and automatic washing system. Without requiring any operator intervention, it automatically detects pollution and activates the washing system. The frequency of washing varies according to the working hours and process density.
In the air/water heat recovery unit, the other part of the waste heat of the stenter machine is transferred to clean cold water. The air/water heat recovery exchanger is a plate heat exchanger.
In the air/water heat recovery unit, hot clean water is produced between 50°C and 60°C by using the exhaust gas.The hot water can be used in any part of the factory where it is needed to save energy.

Stenter machines have to oil vapor, volatile organic compound (VOC-TOC) and odor emission. The exhaust gas, whose temperature is lowered by heat recovery units, is sent to an electrostatic filter. In the electrostatic filter, the exhaust gas is ionized by being exposed to high voltage. Then, as it passes through plates with opposite charges, pollutants are captured and filtered out. As a result; oil vapor, volatile organic compounds (VOC-TOC) and odor particles are filtered.

The flue gas washing filter system is developed for different processes and sectors. The flue gas is washed with water curtain after passing pre-filters and heat recovery systems. The system filters oil vapor, volatile organic compounds (VOC-TOC) and odor from the flue gas. The washing water reused after passing from an oil separator. Although there is continuous water consumption due to evaporation in the flue gas washing system, water consumption is low because the washing water is reused.
