Heat Recovery From Flue Gas

Economizer is the heat exchanger used for heating the flue gas temperature and boiler feed water in steam boilers, condensate water, domestic water or heating the combustion air in enterprises with low condensation rates. It is also called a flue gas heat recovery system as it makes use of waste heat.

The amount of the heat to be recovered in an economizer depends on the boiler flue gas outlet temperature as well as the type of materials used in the manufacture of the economizer. The greater the difference in flue gas temperature entering and leaving the economizer, the greater the recovered heat. In light of these parameters, the economizer saves between 4% and 6% in fuel consumption.

The economizer has become a must-have item in steam boilers, considering the return on investment cost and increasing energy costs. As Özlü Mühendislik, we make economizer engineering calculations, product selection, supply and installation.

ENERGY CALCULATION OF ECONOMIZER HEAT RECOVERY SYSTEM
INLET TEMPERATURE OF FLUE GAS 200 °C
OUTLET TEMPERATURE OF FLUE GAS 130 °C
FLUE GAS FLOW RATE: 5689 m3/h
INLET TEMPERATURE OF WATER 102 °C
OUTLET TEMPERATURE OF WATER 122 °C
AMOUNT OF HOT WATER FLOW RATE 5 m3/h
AMOUNT OF HEAT GAINED 108396 kcal/h
NATURAL GAS SAVE PER HOUR 13,14 m3/h
