Compressor HEAT RECOVERY

Most of the electrical energy consumed in the air compressors used in the production of compressed air is converted into heat energy due to the irreversibility that occurs during the compression process. The ratio of heat energy to consumed electrical energy is around 85% and this heat is tried to be thrown away with cooling systems.

The purpose of the compressor heat recovery system is to recover the heat to be discharged from the compressor and reuse it in space heating, domestic water heating, and similar solutions. A compressor heat recovery system works by transferring waste heat to water with a heat exchanger designed in accordance with the amount of waste heat and operating conditions.

Compressor heat recovery systems engineering calculations, design and installation are carried out by Özlü Mühendislik. There are many systems installed and working. Due to increasing energy costs, the need for these systems has increased.

ENERGY CALCULATION OF HEAT RECOVERY SYSTEMS FROM COMPRESSOR
COMPRESSOR POWER 55 kW
COMPRESSOR HEAT ENERGY RATIO %85
COMPRESSOR HEAT ENERGY CAPACITY 46 kW
AMOUNT OF HEAT GAINED 39000 kcal/h
NATURAL GAS SAVE PER HOUR 4,80 m3/h
ALSO, IT IS SAVING ELECTRICITY, BECAUSE THE FAN WILL NOT WORK FOR OIL COOLING IN THE COMPRESSOR.
INITIAL INVESTMENT COST AND NATURAL GAS UNIT PRICES SHOULD BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT FOR DEPRECIATION CALCULATION.
